At Technique, we are not only committed to repairing automation equipment, but also engineering as much reliability into the unit as possible.
We do this with every repair we carry out by replacing all components subject to age related failure as part of our refurbishment program, but the recent repair to an Indramat DDS2.1-W100-D, demonstrates our true commitment to this policy.
An Indramat DDS2.1-W100-D was presented for repair, reporting a fault code 61. An extensive investigation traced the cause of this particular fault to a hall effect current transducer.
If one of these four identical components had failed, there was an increased chance of the other three succumbing to the same fate sometime soon.
Our engineer replaced all four, increasing our component overhead by 300%, but at the same time ensuring the longevity of the repair.
